How Fire Cold Plunge Cooling Works
No external water chiller. No seasonal winterizing.
Fire Cold Plunge is designed for year-round outdoor use from −20°F to 120°F. Its cooling system is built into the tub walls, so bath water does not need to travel through an external chiller and connecting hoses to be cooled.
Cooling built into the tub walls
A built-in compressor circulates refrigerant through the tub’s cooling system. The refrigerant cools the water through the tub walls. There is no external bath-water cooling loop, separate chiller box or required cooling-hose connections.
Conventional water chillers also use compressors. The difference is the design: Fire eliminates the external bath-water cooling loop and its hose connections.
No holes in the tub liner
A seamless liner eliminates leaks at the tub by eliminating the holes. There are no inlet, outlet or drain-plug holes through the liner.
Outside year round. No winterizing.
Within the stated outdoor operating range, Fire does not require a seasonal teardown of an external water chiller and connecting cooling hoses. The insulated tub and airtight, gasket-sealed hardtop lid are built for year-round use.
Keep the plunge powered in a covered, sheltered location protected from direct rain and snow. Start with water above 40°F before freezing weather, maintain water above 40°F during subzero conditions, and inspect daily. Drain and turn off for extended non-use in any season. Read the winter operating guide for complete care and reporting instructions.

32°F water. 2.36 amps operating draw.
Fire cools the water down to 32°F and can make ice. Its operating draw is 2.36 amps, using a standard 110–120V household outlet. No dedicated circuit or electrician is required for the plunge’s normal electrical connection; the outlet must meet the installation instructions.
The outdoor operating range describes the surrounding air temperature. It is separate from the water temperature setting.
Water care is separate from cooling
Fire uses water circulation, washable cotton carbon filtration and ozone sanitation. That water-care system is separate from the tub-wall cooling system. The commercial model adds boosted, adjustable ozone sanitation to match changing demand.
