PRODUCT NOTICE TO CONSUMER

By accessing and using the Fire Cold Plunge products, you agree to be bound by this Product Notice and the Terms of Sales. If you do not agree with this Product Notice or the Terms of Sales, do not continue to use the product.


The terms “you” and “your” refer to the buyer and/or user of the Fire Cold Plunge products associated with this notice. Prior to utilizing this product, it is imperative to thoroughly read and comprehend all provided instructions, familiarize yourself with its functionalities and constraints, and understand and accept the associated risks. Failure to heed any of these warnings may result in severe injury or death.


This product is intended for specific purposes or applications. It is strictly prohibited to utilize this product for unlawful purposes. This product should be utilized solely by individuals who are competent and responsible, or under the direct supervision of such individuals. You are accountable for your actions, decisions, and safety, and you bear the outcomes of these. If you are unable or not in a position to take on this responsibility, or if you do not fully comprehend the usage instructions, refrain from using this product. You bear full responsibility for your actions and choices.

Installation Warnings

Your responsibility entails the safe installation and upkeep of the products, encompassing the following measures:


  1. Adhering to local building codes for proper installation and usage.
  2. Installation solely on a circuit safeguarded by a ground-fault circuit interrupter (GFCI).
  3. Placing plugs in dry locations, away from water sources such as sprinklers, rain, or flood-prone areas.
  4. Employing a dedicated GFI breaker for the product.
  5. Prior to cleaning or performing maintenance, ensure to deactivate the main power supply as the unit contains a high-voltage connector.
  6. Never cut the power plug and replace it yourself. This may lead to serious injury or death. Additionally, avoid opening the pump housing or its components unless specified in the User Guide.
  7. Promptly disconnect the unit from the power source if any abnormal water leakage is observed.
  8. Avoid using the appliance if the plug or receptacle is wet.
  9. Cease operation if the power supply cord, plug, or any components are damaged.
  10. Maintain close supervision when the appliance is being used by or around children, as it is not intended as a toy.
  11. Exercise caution to prevent contact with moving parts and potential injury.
  12. Never pull the plug from the outlet by yanking on the cord.
  13. Ensure the chiller plug and other plugs are not placed directly on the floor to prevent potential water damage around the product.

Water Sanitation and Maintenance

You are responsible for maintaining the water clean and safe.

Your cold plunge might come with an ozone generator, a filter and a pump.  It’s recommended that the filter is replaced at least twice per month.

If no chemicals are used, it’s recommended that the water is changed twice per month. For instructions on how to maintain or operate your plunge, please see the User Manual.

If you choose to add chemicals, it’s your responsibility to monitor and maintain the chemistry of the water.


Ozone is a gas and can be irritating if inhaled. For maximum safety, install in a place with good ventilation.


WARNING: All ozone machines should only be used in unoccupied spaces. Don't let people or pets enter the area until 30 minutes after ozone treatment ends.


OZONE WARNING: Adults and children who breathe high levels of ozone for a short period of time (minutes or hours) can experience eye, nose and throat irritation, shortness of breath, chest pain and coughing.


IMPORTANT SAFETY INFORMATION

This appliance is not designed for utilization by individuals (including children) with diminished physical, sensory, or mental capabilities, or those lacking experience and understanding, unless they are under the supervision or guidance of a responsible individual who ensures their safety during its use. Please have a professional regularly check your cold plunge tub and make sure it is in good, safe working condition


This product is not intended for use by Children under the age of 18.

This product is not intended for use by persons with underlying heart or neurological conditions.

Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision.

When installing and using this electrical equipment, basic safety precautions should always be followed.


People with medical conditions, including but not limited to the following, elderly persons, and children should consult with a physician before using this cold plunge tub:


- Heart disease

- Circulatory problems

- Diabetes

- Blood pressure problems

- Epilepsy

- Respiratory conditions

- Skin conditions (e.g., open wounds, eczema)

-  Pregnancy


DANGER: Drowning Hazard

Risk of Serious Injury or Death


The cold plunge tubs pose a serious drowning risk, especially for young children and inexperienced users.


To prevent tragedies:


  1. Never leave children unattended near the cold plunge tub. 
  2. Extreme caution must be exercised to prevent unauthorized access by children. When the plunge is not in use, ensure to cover it. This measure is intended to deter unsupervised children from entering the cold plunge. Please note that the cover does not guarantee prevention of access to the cold plunge.
  3. Always supervise anyone who is unfamiliar with using a cold plunge tub or who may have difficulty entering or exiting on their own.
  4. Do not use the cold plunge tub under the influence of alcohol or drugs. These substances can impair judgment and coordination, increasing the risk of drowning.
  5. Enter and exit the cold plunge tub slowly and with caution. The cold water can cause a gasp reflex and lightheadedness, making falls more likely.
  6. Be aware of your limitations. If you have any underlying health conditions, consult with a doctor before using a cold plunge tub.
  7. Keep the lid on the cold plunge tub when not in use. Secure the lid with a locking mechanism if available.
  8. Install a fence or barrier around the cold plunge tub to restrict access, especially if you have children.
  9. Learn CPR (Cardiopulmonary resuscitation). Knowing CPR can be life-saving in case of an emergency.

DANGER: Risk of Electric Shock. Install at least 5 feet (1.5 m), from all other objects, walls and metal surfaces. Do not permit any electrical appliance, such as a light, telephone, radio, television, etc. within 5 feet (1.5 m) of the cold plunge. All controls or devices accessible from the spa must be powered by a maximum of 12 vdc. Do not permit any electrical appliances powered by 12 vdc or more within 1.5 m of the cold plunge.

The electrical supply for this product must include a suitable circuit breaker GFCI (north America) to open all ungrounded supply conductors. The disconnect must be readily accessible and visible to the cold plunge occupant but installed at least 5 feet (1.5 m), from the cold plunge water.

Always unplug unit before servicing.


WARNING: Prolonged immersion in cold water can lead to hypothermia or other health hazards.

Hypothermia is a medical emergency caused by prolonged exposure to very cold temperatures and the body loses heat faster than it can produce it. Normal body temperature is about 98.6°F/37°C. When body temperatures drop below 95°F/35°C it is considered hypothermia. Fetal damage in pregnant women; and Unconsciousness and danger of drowning.


To Reduce the Risk of Injury:

  1. The water in a cold plunge should never be below 37oF. Before entering the cold plunge, measure the water temperature with an accurate thermometer.
  2. The use of alcohol, drugs, or medication before or during cold plunge use may lead to unconsciousness with the possibility of drowning.
  3. First time users should limit the use of the cold plunge to one minute. Experienced users should limit their sessions to 10 minutes.
  4. Do not use while under the influence of alcohol, anticoagulants, antihistamines, vasoconstrictors, vasodilators, stimulants, stimulants, hypnotics, narcotics or tranquilizers. The use of alcohol or drugs can greatly increase the risk of fatal hypothermia in cold plunges.
  5. Do not use if you have one of the following symptoms: Dizziness, lightheadedness, chest pain, palpitations.
  6. Persons using medication should consult a physician before using a cold plunge since some medication may induce drowsiness, while other medication may affect heart rate, blood pressure, and circulation.
  7. Exit the water immediately if uncomfortable, lightheaded, palpitations or dizziness.


DANGER: Entrapment Hazard - Risk of Serious Injury or Death


This cold plunge tub poses an entrapment hazard and can be deadly if not used properly. Individuals and pets can become trapped inside the unit and drown quickly and silently.


To prevent accidents:

  1. Never leave children or pets unattended around this product. Even a moment of unsupervised access can be fatal.
  2. If the product has openings that pose a risk, take steps to prevent children from fitting through. 
  3. Never remove the lid stay mechanism. The hinges may resist some force, but the lid stay is a crucial safety feature that prevents the lid from slamming shut unintentionally.
  4. Positioning the product so openings are not easily accessible to children.
  5. Inspect the product regularly for damage to lids or covers. Replace or repair any damaged components immediately.
  6. Educate children about the dangers of entrapment and the importance of staying away from this product.
  7. For safe use recommendations, refer to the accompanying user manual or contact the manufacturer.

WARNING: Not for Food Storage

The cold plunge is intended for cold water immersion only and is not suitable for storing food or beverages.


Contamination Risk: The materials used in the cold plunge tub may not be food-safe and could leach chemicals into your food or drinks.

Improper Temperature Control: Cold plunge tubs are designed to maintain low water temperatures unsuitable for most food and beverage storage. This can lead to spoilage or the growth of harmful bacteria.

Unsanitary Environment: Cold plunge tubs are not designed for the hygienic storage of food.


WARNING: Extremely Slippery When Wet

Risk of Serious Injury


This cold plunge tub becomes extremely slippery when wet, increasing the risk of slips and falls that could result in serious injury.


To prevent accidents:


  1. Enter and exit the cold plunge tub with extreme caution.
  2. Always wear slip-resistant footwear with good tread before entering or exiting the tub. 
  3. Never walk on the surrounding surface barefoot or in wet socks.
  4. Maintain a clear and dry area around the cold plunge tub to avoid tracking water onto the surrounding surface.
  5. Wipe up any spills or splashed water immediately to minimize slippery areas.
  6. Use handrails or grab bars if available for additional support when entering and exiting.
  7. Move slowly and deliberately when entering, exiting, or walking around the cold plunge tub.
  8. Consider placing a removable, non-slip mat inside the cold plunge tub for added grip. However, remember to remove it when not in use to avoid creating a breeding ground for bacteria.

WARNING: Hair Entanglement Hazard

Risk of Serious Injury or Death

Long hair can become entangled in the drain or other openings of this cold plunge tub, potentially leading to scalp injuries or drowning.


To prevent accidents:

  1. Secure long hair in a tight bun, braid, or ponytail before entering the cold plunge tub. Loose hair poses a higher entanglement risk.
  2. Avoid submerging your head completely underwater. This minimizes the chance of hair getting caught in the drain.
  3. Maintain a safe distance from the drain and any other openings in the tub while using it.
  4. Inspect the drain and other openings regularly for debris or hair buildup. Clean them as needed according to the User Manual.
  5. Consider using a swim cap for added protection, especially if you have very long hair.
  6. Exit the cold plunge tub immediately if you feel your hair become entangled.
  7. Never use sharp objects to remove entangled hair from the drain or other openings. This could damage the tub or cause injury.

Consult the User Manual for specific instructions on safe use and maintenance of the cold plunge tub to minimize entanglement risks.


WARNING: Body Part Entrapment Hazard

Risk of Serious Injury or Death


This cold plunge tub has openings that can pose an entrapment hazard for limbs or fingers, especially for children. Entrapment can lead to restricted blood flow, serious injury, or even drowning.


To prevent accidents:


  1. Never leave children unattended near the cold plunge tub. Even a moment of unsupervised access can be deadly.
  2. Carefully supervise anyone who may not be aware of the entrapment risk, such as young children or people with disabilities.
  3. Instruct users to keep their limbs away from drains, filters, or other openings in the cold plunge tub.
  4. Inspect the drain and other openings regularly for damage or debris buildup. Clean them as needed according to the User Manual. 
  5. Regularly have a professional check your cold plunge tub and make sure it is in good, safe working condition and that drain covers are in place and not cracked or missing.
  6. Consider using drain covers designed to prevent entrapment, especially if you have children who will be using the cold plunge tub.
  7. Install a fence or barrier around the cold plunge tub to restrict access, particularly if you have young children.
  8. If someone becomes entrapped:
  • Turn off the pump or filtration system if possible.
  • Call 911 or your local emergency number immediately.
